Simply
put, The Remembrance is a gathering of worship around the
table of Jesus Christ. This is the central aspect of our
time together, and the reason for which we gather: to
celebrate the table of Christ (communion, the Eucharist,
the Lord's Supper, etc.). Christ actually said very little
about what we do when we gather together for worship.
But he did say that when we gather together we
do so "in remembrance of him." So in our gathering at the
Table, we ourselves are Christ's: his Body, his people, his
Church. This is the focus for us at The
Remembrance. We see the table as a place of
gathering and a reminder that we are individually members
of the Body of Christ.
Our hope is that though we're separate much of the rest of
the week, The Remembrance is a reminder of who we are to be
together in Christ, despite our "separateness."
We would love for you to join us for The Remembrance at
6:14pm on Sundays.
